We believe AI can be a powerful capability that can support creativity, learning, meaningful human connection, and human thriving. We also believe AI contains significant risks. This is why we are committed to using and deploying AI responsibly and transparently in our work and solutions. We are guided by the following principles:
- Artificial intelligence should augment human capabilities, respect human dignity, and preserve autonomy.
- Our work with AI is guided by a human-centric approach: decisions that affect people are supervised by qualified humans, and AI is designed to be understandable, auditable, and controllable.
- We strive for transparency, accountability, fairness, privacy, and security in all AI-enabled activities.
The sections below describe how we translate these commitments into practice through governance, oversight, policies, and day-to-day AI use.
